The English translation club was established in 2018. The club began to provide the first activities by lecturers of School of Foreign Languages, Dr. A. Mungunchimeg, T. Gerelmaa,

T. Tsend-Ayush and with student O. Nasanbayar from School of Power Engineering.

The purpose of the club:

The main goal of the club is to develop translation skills of MUST students. We conduct lectures and translation practices for engineering students. Besides, it provides theoretical and methodological knowledge, develop teamwork, organizes free discussions with teachers and students, increases the motivation of students. Give opportunity to students to practice written English on their own. We reward the best students.

Club events were held every Wednesday at 18:00. In total, more than 50 students participated.

Club activities:

To increase the students translation skills, we instruct lectures on translation, translation theory, stylistics, translation problems, translation errors and their consequences, interesting facts. In addition, we discuss and students do translation.

Lecturer A. Bolormaa, T. Gerelmaa gave lecture on "Techniques and Methods of Translation", Doctor A. Mungunchimeg "Methodology and Features of Mongolian-English Translation", teacher D. Tsengel "Methodology for Writing a Research Article in English and requirements for it ". A. Mungunchimeg  translated the poem "My Land" from Mongolian to English with students. Lecturer T. Tsend-Ayush reviewed and analyzed each student's translated story, and all participating lecturers provided translation and grammar recommendations.

As a result of the club's work, students actively participated in the planned events organized by the club, acquired practical translation skills and achieved their goal - to consolidate their knowledge. The certificates were awarded to students selected for their translation work.

The annual opening ceremony of the English translation club took place on October 28, 2020.  Dr. A. Bolormaa gave a lecture "Theory of Translation". The club was organized by the teachers N. Oyuntsetseg, T. Gerelmaa, L. Dolgorsuren, A. Dulamsuren
