INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC COOPERATION
          The School of Foreign Languages (SFL) ​​has been collaborating with more than 20 universities from 7 countries, including Russia, Japan, Republic of Korea, China, USA, Germany, and Turkey, in accordance with  foreign cooperation agreements established by the MUST and the SFL. From 1990 to 2023, 14 teachers from Russia served as language instructors, 32 teachers from the United States, one teacher from Canada, England, Australia, and Thailand respectively, 16 from Japan, 11 from the Republic of Korea, 14 from China, for a total of 92 visiting professors and language instructors. These foreign experts have played a major role in improving the language skills of MUST students and staff. As of 2023, a number of foreign language instructors work in the SFL. One is a specialist teacher from the English Fellow program of the US Embassy.  ​​We also have a teacher from the JICA organization of Japan on staff. Another three foreign teachers from Yonsei University have been teaching at the baccalaureate level online as part of the E-school project sponsored by the Korea Foundation. In addition, three teachers from China have been working under contract at the SFL.

Since the Mongolian studies professorship was established in 2006, in addition to preparing the Mongolian language for foreign students studying at MUST and organizing joint language and local studies winter and summer courses with foreign students, the "Mongolian language training" program has been developed and implemented. The training continuesto run strong. As of 2023, more than 90 students from Russia, South Korea, China, the United States, Japan, and Thailand have participated in this program.

The School of Foreign Languages is responsible for providing foreign language preparation  ​​for students in the  joint-engineering programs of MUST with foreign universities. It has been intensively offering Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, and English to the students of the program. Also, many of the SFL faculty have studied in other countries. Fifteen teachers have obtained master's and doctorate degrees in South Korea, Russia, Japan, Australia, and Taiwan, and three young teachers are currently studying in foreign universities.

The SFL closely cooperates with foreign and domestic professional associations such as the English Language Teachers Association of Mongolia (ELTAM), Japanese Teachers Association of Mongolia, Chinese Teachers Association of Mongolia, the Russian Language Teachers Association of Mongolia, international organizations such as the embassies of the United States, Japan, South Korea, China, Russia, the Republic of Germany, and the ASIA TEFL. the Korean Association of Mongolian Studies, the Pacific Asia Society etc. Organizations and companies such as Oyu Tolgoi, Wagner Asia, Monfresh, MSM, Teess Mongolia, and MNS are efficiently collaborating with us through allowing MUST students to work in internships, sponsoring students’ activities, and providing graduates with workplaces.
